Downtown Ripley Hosts Kids Farmers Market and Burnside Music Festival This Saturday

Downtown Ripley is gearing up for a full day of community celebration this Saturday, offering residents multiple reasons to shop local and support their neighbors.

Kids Farmers Market Kicks Off the Day

The festivities begin early with the Kids Farmers Market on the Square, running from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The event showcases local young entrepreneurs selling a diverse array of homemade goods and products, including handcrafted items, fresh produce, baked treats, candles, soaps, fishing lures, t-shirts, and lemonade.

"It's a great opportunity to shop local, encourage our kids, and find something unique before an afternoon of live music," organizers said in promoting the event.

Special Retail Hours and Promotions

While browsing the farmers market, shoppers can take advantage of extended hours at Macs & Milli, which will remain open from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The retailer is running a summer sale featuring buy-one-get-one 50% off deals on swimwear, tees, tanks, and shorts, with an additional 20% discount on all sale items.

Afternoon Entertainment at Burnside Music Festival

After the morning market concludes, the celebration continues with the Burnside Music Festival, which features a full day of Hill Country blues performances, food vendors, shopping opportunities, and family-friendly activities.

Community Gathering

Organizers are encouraging residents to make a day of it downtown, supporting local youth entrepreneurs while enjoying live entertainment and unique shopping opportunities. The event exemplifies the community's commitment to fostering young business ventures while strengthening local commerce.

"Grab your friends, shop local, support our kids, and make a morning of it on the square in Ripley," the event announcement states.
