Alva H. “Vada” Simpson was born on December 22, 1955. She departed this life on October 8, 2026, at 11:53 a.m.

Simpson of Ripley, MS; six sisters: Florence (George) Webb, Essie (James) Morgan of Michigan City, MS, Linda (Willie) Jones of Grand Junction, TN, Ornetta (Lucas) Mac, Debra (Richard) Teate of California, Linda (Steven) Freeman of Chicago, IL; thirteen brothers: Larry (Linda) Hoyle, Grady L. Hoyle, Alvin Hoyle, Jimmie L. Hoyle, Lincoln T. Hoyle of Grand Junction, TN, Willie L. (Brenda) Hoyle of Bolivar, TN, Walter J. (Rose) Hoyle of Whiteville, TN, Willie J. (Shelly) Hoyle, Luther A. Hoyle of Ashland, MS,Dennis (Bobbie Jean) Buggs of Michigan City, MS, Frederick Buggs, Nicholas Buggs, Sherman Buggs of California; uncle: Joe Lewis (Carrie) Malone of Memphis, TN; two aunts, Josie (Ricky) Edgeston of Ripley, MS, and Rosie McKinney of Memphis, TN.; four uncles and two aunts; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
Four Brothers Precedes her in death: Tommie L. Hoyle, Charlie B. Hoyle, Frank Hoyle, Sr., Eugene Hoyle; two Sisters: Gracie Hoyle and Mary Joyce Buggs.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 16, 2026 at Foster and Son Funeral Home Chapel of Ripley, MS from 12:00p-6:00p. Service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 2:00p at Union Hill MBC of Ashland, MS. Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery of Ashland, MS.
