Tippah County has five incorporated municipalities — Ripley, Walnut, Blue Mountain, Falkner and Dumas — along with a census-designated place at Chalybeate and a scattering of unincorporated communities that still anchor a school, a church or a crossroads. RCTV19 covers all of them.

Other communities in Tippah County
Several smaller unincorporated communities appear on Tippah County maps and in local usage without having their own municipal government or census count. They include Cotton Plant, Brownfield, Dry Creek, Lake Mohawk and Camp Hill. Residents of these communities are served by Tippah County offices in Ripley and by either the North Tippah or South Tippah school district, depending on location.
How the county is organized
Tippah County's two school districts split the county roughly north and south. The North Tippah School District serves Walnut, Falkner, Chalybeate and Tiplersville from a central office at 20821 Highway 15 in Falkner. The South Tippah School District serves Ripley, Blue Mountain, Dumas and Pine Grove from 402 Greenlee Street in Ripley.
Law enforcement outside the Ripley city limits is handled by the Tippah County Sheriff's Department at 205 West Spring Street in Ripley, 662-837-9336. In an emergency, call 911.
