Funeral services honoring the life of Ms. Roberts will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home, with Bro. Ronnie Barefield officiating. Born on November 18, 1942, to the late Joel “Joe” and Mary Rutherford Brady, Ms. Roberts received her education at Falkner School and was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church. On December 24, 1959, she married the love of her life, H.P. Roberts, and together they shared 50 years of marriage before his passing. She was a dedicated employee of Blue Bell and Red Cap, faithfully serving for 38 years before retiring.

Ms. Roberts found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had a special gift for making others feel loved through her cooking. She was known for her delicious home-cooked meals, especially her sweet potatoes and Mexican cornbread, which were made with love and treasured by those fortunate enough to enjoy them. She also loved reading cookbooks and spending time gardening, sewing, and canning. These simple joys reflected the love and care she brought to everyday life. Her family will forever cherish the memories made around her table and the special moments shared with her.

Those left to cherish her precious memory include one daughter, Sandra Byrd; four sisters, Juanita Estridge of Enid, Mississippi, Lutie Willingham (Jimmy) of Ripley, Shirley Kirkland of Baytown, Texas, and Doris McAlister of Ripley; three grandchildren, Benjamin Byrd of Falkner, Claudie Hall (Hunter) of Ripley, and Carter Wilkerson of Falkner; and three great-grandchildren, Ridge, Lottie, and Willa Byrd.

In addition to her beloved husband, H.P. Roberts, she was preceded in death by one son, Perry Roberts; six brothers, Benton Brady, James “John” Brady, Roy Brady, Herman “Jeff” Brady, Charles “Bob” Brady, and Travis “Peanut” Brady; and one sister, Joyce Bryant.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Arden Hospice Care, Anna Tigrett, and Morgan Ellis for the kindness, compassion, and care they provided.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Randy Brady, Terry Brady, Tony Brady, David Brady, Marcus McAlister, and James Willingham. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Wilkerson, Carter Wilkerson, Hunter Hall, and Larry McAlister.
