Mrs. Sharon Annette Purdy Monson passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Mississippi, on September 25, 2026, at the age of 89.
Sharon was born on November 10, 1936, in Tonah, Wisconsin, to Floyd Purdy and Nita Dickinson Purdy. She graduated from high school and later moved to California, where she worked as a hotel manager.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Floyd Purdy and Nita Dickinson Purdy, and her nine brothers and sisters.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Carla Kuhl (Scott) of Ripley, MS; her sister, Connie Whitney of Tonah, WI; her four grandchildren, Jeromy Kuhl (Sarah) of Pensacola, FL, Brent Kuhl (Tonya) of Ripley, MS, Seth Kuhl (Gaby) of Bartlett, TN, Shaunti Skaggs of Clearwater, FL; her nine great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
